Trentan Cheshire Summerhouses

The Trentan range of timber Heavy Duty Cheshire Georgian Chalets are produced using high quality pressure treated redwood deal T & G timber on a more than substantial framework which is 45x70mm (2¾" x 1¾") as standard. Also available in cedar for the sleek look.

Tanalised Timber - 15 year Guarantee - saving you time or top quality Cedar cladding

The roofs are made from tanalised T& G boards covered in high quality heavy duty green mineral felt with an option for felt tiles, cedar shingles or for a slatted roof. The superb floor is also pressure treated using Tanalith. You can expect a very long life for your heavy duty summerhouse and the expected life span using Tanalith pressure treated timber is 15 years plus.

Trentan Cheshire Summerhouse showing 3ft veranda With a choice of 18in roof overhang (with side wings) or 3ft full balcony with side rails this is a stylish building. It is also possible to have a 3ft roof overhang with side wings at an extra cost. There is a range of standard sizes, from 8x8 up to 12x10 (larger sizes available), and with many options you can be assured these summer buildings and chalets will meet your long term needs.

We normally have one on display on our display site (we believe that you should be able to view the quality of our summerhouse and not just rely on a brochure or computer screen) UNLIKE most of the competitors who DON'T give you the opportunity to view at all.

The Georgian 8 pane joinery quality double doors and Georgian opening windows are particuarly attractive. To cap it all the Cheshire Chalet Georgian Summer houses are installed FREE of charge onto your level base.

Trentan Cheshire Chalet Summerhouse Spec
Size:2.4m x 2.4m (8' x 8') - up to 12 x 10 as standard, but larger buildings can be made so please ask if you need any other size.
Cladding:16mm (12mm finished thickness) shiplap OR 19mm (16mm finished thickness) T&G. (Redwood deal not cheaper whitewood). No further treatment required. Coach screwed construction. OR Further option for 12mm Cedar, 20mm Redwood deal Loglap or 20mm Thermowood claddings.
Framing:70 x 45mm (2¾" x 1¾") tanalised quality timber with diagonal corner braces. Thicker in corners. Option for 3¾" x 1¾" framing.
Roofs:16mm (12mm finished thickness) T & G Tanalised timber covered with heavy duty green mineral felt. Option for felt tiles, cedar shingles or for a slatted roof. Standard roof overhang is 18". Option for 3' veranda.
Overhangs:Standard summerhouse has a 46cm (18in) roof overhang with side wings, however, there is an option for a full 91cm (3ft) veranda to include the roof and floor, with side balacony rails.
Floors:16mm (12mm finished thickness) pressure treated T&G boards on 47 x 47mm tanalised floor joists. Option for Heavy Duty Flooring
Door:Tanalised joinery Georgian 8 pane double doors 1.12m x 1.78m (44in wide x 70in) high. Fitted black antique hinges and handle. Cedar summerhouses will have cedar doors.
Windows:Joinery made Georgian style with opening windows. Various options on these summer houses including double glazing. Number varies with size of home office. Option for extra windows.
Height:Eaves height 1.9m (6' 3") eaves on all buildings. Ridge height on 2.4m (8ft) offices is 2.41m (7' 11"), on 3m (10ft) will be 2.52m (8' 3"), on 3.6m (12ft) will be 2.57m (8' 5") and on 4.2m (14ft) offices will be 2.69m (8' 10"). Option for extra height.
Treatment:These Cheshire Summerhouses are pressure treated using the renowned Tanalith treatment which give the buildings a 15 year life, before re-treating. Cedar is optionally treated with top quality preservative, instead.
Erection:All our wooden summerbuildings are installed FREE of charge, provided you provide a solid level concrete or paving slab base or timber decked area, or possibly could be built on your timber bearers. Optionally, we have an option for building a timber subframe (some areas) for you. These summer houses are assembled using coach screws for ease of taking it down again if you decide to move. £1 per square feet discount for delivery only.
Insulation:To make best use of these buildings as home offices or all round year summerhouses it is recommended that you line and insulate them, to keep them cool in summer and warmer in winter. We can, optionally, supply and fit insulation and lining.
Alterations:Any size Cheshire Chalet or Summerhouse can be made with extra doors, windows or partitions. If not sure please contact us for your personal quote

Optional Extras:Double doors, extra windows, georgian windows, extra height, ply lining followed by a bitumen paper lining, 3¾" x 1¾" framing, lining & insulation, guttering.
Sizes:Unless specified as finished size then sizes quoted are before machining which reduces the size quoted by about 3mm. Overall sizes of the Cheshire Summerhouse-Chalet are nominal METRIC sizes which are slightly smaller than imperial.
Beware of other summerbuildings with before machining measurements. Always check.
