Garden sheds are among the top five possessions which British homeowners have in their gardens.
New research by confused.com found that tables and chairs are the number one purchases followed by plants and flowers, barbecues and lawnmowers.
As well as being popular items, garden sheds are also among the most expensive purchases homeowners have made, with the average value standing at £123.
Lawnmowers were found to be the most expensive item at £141.
Darren Black, head of home insurance at the comparison site, said that with so many expensive belongings stored in gardens, it is important homeowners are vigilant.
"Gardens are more prone to theft and damage during the summer and it's likely householders are undervaluing their garden contents in the same way they do their household contents," he added.
Similar research by M&S Money recently revealed that the average value of contents kept in garden sheds in the UK is £988.
