Hi, I've just moved house and have run out of storage space for in-house items and packed cardboard boxes. The garden contains an unused stable (11'x11') but this in itself is not suitable for such storage. Therefore I would like to install a metal shed within this stable, will I have problems with condensation and how can I overcome these ? Would a shed with vents be better or would a wooden shed be more suitable (although this would reduce my choice of sizes owing to swing as opposed to sliding doors), or would some form of low level heating help ?
Finally, this shed can be secured to the stable floor but can I simply lay wooden flooring within the shed without the expense of a timber floor kit ?
Regards, Merv.

Hi,
A metal shed inside a dry stable should not suffer from too much condensation and if you chose a metal shed with a vent this would help, as would a low form of heat. However a timber building would have less condensation.

If you put bowls of salt around the metal shed this will also help to reduce any condensation.

You can just put down wooden floor and you can then secure the building to that.

Robin
