The Ashby Summerhouse is a stylish summerhouse with his elegant deep windows on the front complemented with the double doors which can be thrown open when our wonderful summer arrives (well we can dream!). Very well constructed using redwood deal T&G shiplap cladding, with an option for loglap effect, and built on a very strong frame.
These Ashby summerhouses will stand 'the test of time' unlike many of the 'cheap' summerhouses available elsewhere which use the cheap inferior whitewood. With the roofs being made from 'proper' T&G timber boards and not the cheap and nasty OSB boards, chipboard or wafer board (often described as 'sheet' materials to mislead you) used on the cheap summerhouses. Covered in heavy quality green mineral roofing felt for long life. There are also options for verandas to extend the usability of these lovely buildings
Besides the high spec of these summer houses, which comes as standard, you will find that to make your life even easier we will assemble these buildings free of charge. No struggling with large summerhouse panels and hoping you don't hurt your back or pull any muscles. No laying the felt out hoping you do a good job and that the roof won't leak - this is all taken care off for you. You can be confident that your new summerhouse will serve its purpose of providing you with a pleasurable place to spend some time away from our busy world.
The internet is a great place to find garden buildings but you will find that not many summerhouse firms allow you to see their products before buying. This can be a little worrying (at the least). Until your new summerhouse arrives you are relying on the summerhouse company to deliver what they display on their web site. And I think we are know that brochures, leaflets and web pages can look brilliant but the 'proof of the pudding' is what is important.
We have a large garden building display site near Guildford where you can see a large range of buildings, including summerhouses. Whilst we don't alawys have the Ashby summerhouse on display we do normally have a Waendal summerhouse as well as a Barton or Wilbye summerhouse. By examining these you can view the attention to details and can see how well made they are, backing up what you see on our web site.
'Peace of Mind' comes as standard with these Ashby Summer Houses. We believe that you should be able to view the quality of our summerhouses and not just rely on a brochure or computer screen - UNLIKE most of the competitors who DON'T give you the opportunity to view at all.
These Diamond Summerhouses are available in a massive range of sizes to suit YOUR needs and not just a few set sizes with most makers offers. You also have the option to move the doors & windows or add extra windows for a small extra charge so you can see that a quality summerhouse can meets your exact needs at a very good price. With the addition of a veranda or balcony this will throw up new uses for your summerhouse. Add in a partition and a side door and it can combine to be a summerhouse and storage shed - how good is that?

How To Guide:- Fixing and Types of Shed Summerhouses Windows
The windows on sheds and summer houses rely on the windows to let light in so are crucial to your enjoyment of your new garden building. The way these windows are fixed to the building is also crucial so you need to be aware of the method used. The reason for this is so that you don't end up with leaking windows which can be a nuisance.
There are various ways as to how the windows are secured into place. You will often find that they are 'dry fixed' using timber beading. This is a very good way of keeping your shed or summerhouse dry provided the beading is pushed up tight against the glass. Some building only use small nails or brads to secure the glass in place and this can sometimes leak. Another option is with a mastic or sealant around the outside edge of the glass and the shed wall or even with sealant behind the glass.
When I had my garden shed company, which I started in 1979, we use to use the dry fixing method but this was supplemented with a window ledge with a recess cut for the glass to sit into. The beadings were fixed from inside the shed or summerhouse and pressed tight against the glass. This was also more secure as the beading could not be removed from outside - Continue reading --
