Feedback: Well Made and the installation went well, a minor problem was sorted without delay. The guys putting up the shed very polite etc...worked very well as a team.
Response: Thanks for your feedback. Pleased things went well with your new Diamond garden shed. I'm sorry there was an issue but at least it was resolved quickly for you and that is how it should be. I hope you enjoy your new building in the years to come. Regards Robin
A little while ago the public were invited to give their opinions from a number of potential designs for the London 2012 Olympic Gardens which were posted online. With work on the Olympics, to be set in the east of London, in an advanced state of completion the 12 designs were put forward in the competition. The winning design was decided by both the children and adults categories.
A design featuring the Olympic rings was one of the designs considered, there was another one drawn up by the grand daughter of a gold medalist at the 1st London Olympics in 1908 and also a canoe themed garden complete with paddling pool for children. It goes with out saying that in most gardens you would find a decent garden shed and I'm sure that a modern version garden shed would have been considered in the designs.
Garden Sheds, Workshops and Summerhouses for Crayford Tessa Jowell, who was minister at the launch of the competition said that 'it was exciting to see so many good entries for what was a unique opportunity for the public at large to help shape the Olympic Park'. The final short list reflected the traditions and special quirks of the British people and their special gardens. This varied from Tudor roses, strange looking garden sheds right through to garden gnomes but common among them all was they were all so very different. She went on to see she couldn't wait to see what the public decided upon.
Around the same time it was hoped that the Devon stretch of a new coastal path being built around England would be completed in time for the 2012 game with Weymouth and Portland in beautiful Dorset setting the scene for the sailing events. The South West Coast Path is Britain's longest way marked long-distance footpath and a National Trail. It stretches for 630 miles, running from Minehead in Somerset, around the coasts of Devon and Cornwall, to Poole Harbour in Dorset and rises and falls at every river mouth and through some very special archaeological areas and includes a World Heritage Site on the south coast.
