Feedback: Excellent service. My chosen shed design was slightly out of the norm, but 1st Choice checked all the details with me and answered all my queries. They even got it delivered and assembled on the day I asked for. Would highly recommend them. Great shed - very efficient assembly service. Definitely worth getting a pro to assemble it!
Response:Thanks for your feedback. I'm pleased you found the free installation service useful. It saves a lot of hard work using a professional. Regards Robin
The garden shed is a favourite part of our homes as it houses all sorts of items keeping them dry (well - maybe not the cheap and nasty variety) and secure from our British weather. With the tools for the handyman, the garden furniture for the family and the garden tools - such as the lawn mower, hedge trimmer, spades and forks etc - tucked away you can be sure this love for the garden shed, which are available from companies such as this, is not likely to end soon.
Many wood sheds for sale are used for the owners hobbies, my wife uses her potting shed with some friends to follow their hobby of crafting which is the creating of birthday, Christmas or other events celebration cards, all made individually to suit the recipient. Many men have a little home from home in their shed where they find a little peace from the world. Some use them as fitting centres saving on the sky high rates which many gyms charge.
Another popular activity is wine or beer making where the garden shed can be a perfect location to make and store their produce. With the high cost of alcohol and the fact that cheap drinks are not likely to be available with the new minimum cost per unit of alcohol being proposed by the present government this is a great way of saving some money.
The important thing is that whatever you do in your shed should be legal. This was not the case in Liverpool recently where hundreds of bottles of illegal spirits were found. This 'moonshine' drink was only found when police raided a garden sheds in the Liverpool area and, effectively, found a distillery. As well as over 200 litres of illicit wine and spirit there were stills, fermentation tanks and, incredibly, leaflets advertising this alcohol for sale. So all in all, not just for their personal use or for their friends, this was a commercial operation which made it worse.
A man, which normally tends to be the case, has been questioned about the activities going on in his garden shed. With the value set at over £5,000 this haul included whisky and schnapps so was highly sought after. This shed was raided after a tip-off to Liverpool's Alcohol and Tobacco Unit, possibly by a disgruntled customer. ATU's, Gary Baskott, warned the public about these activities as, beside being illegal, this type of booze is a massive public health risk.
Much as I encourage initiative this is one activity I can't recommend for your garden shed. If you stick to the normal pursuits and uses then your shed will serve you well.
