Secure Those Garden Sheds or Else!
Security on your shed is crucial if you want to look after your valuable garden tools, lawn mowers, ladders, garden furniture and other tools so it's important you consider what you need to do. Depending on where your garden shed is can determine the level of security required. If your shed is in the garden and the only access to the garden is through the front gate, which can be locked, and there is no other way into then garden then basic security will be fine - i.e. a simple padlock will suffice. If your shed backs onto open fields then you need to make sure security is stronger. In this instance I would recommend a hasp and staple, one where the hasp folds over the staple when it's closed covering the screws, across the door. Ideally instead of just using screws use at least one or two nut and bolts so this can't be jemmied off. By also replacing at least one of the screws in each of the hinges with a nut and bolt then it will be impossible to just unscrew the door or wrench it off. --- Carry On Reading- - - - - - .

How To Treat Your Garden Shed or Summerhouse For Long Life
When you have a garden shed in your garden it will provide you with many uses for it , whether it is wooden, metal, plastic or concrete. When it arrives it will be in perfect condition and after it has been assembled will become a great addition to your garden. I'm not so sure about the cheap sheds which you can buy with their cheap chipboard or OSB floors and roofs. Beware as these cheap shed makers often describe these type of roofs as 'sheet material'. I wonder why?? However a certain amount of maintenance is required to keep it in good condition. This will probable involve applying a coat of treatment if you have a wooden shed as this will keep the worse of the weather off the building. Normally what happens is that the shed will get its first coat and when it due again, after a few years, often gets put off until when the weather gets better or when you have a little more time. And this is that start of a downward spiral. It does not have to be like that. --- Carry On Reading- - - - - - .
