Feedback: Would have marked excellent but for the fact I wanted water butts which they said I would have to supply myself but when it was being fitted the fitters said they could supply water butts which I got them to do.
Response: Thanks for your feedback. I’m sorry about the mix up with the water buts. It was a ‘grey’ area whether we could or not but I believe that is not an issue moving forward. Thanks for pointing this out. Regards, Robin

Doctor Who, the national treasure of science fiction for over nearly 50 years is going from strength to strength. Started in 1963 , which I enjoyed as a boy, and through the many different Doctors over the years. As a child we re-created some of his battles in the garden and my friends gardens and our Dad’s garden sheds were treated as the Tardis. Even to this day I don’t know how men are able to get so much stuff (weapons for fighting aliens) into a modest garden shed.
As I say the garden shed was a marvellous place for hiding away from the Daleks and the many other horrible monsters, by shutting the shed door we were safe from the Daleks as, even though they were highly intelligent, they could not cope with the complexities of the pad bolt on my Dad’s garden shed door, not could they get up over the step on the shed floor, how we laughed at their feeble attempts to exterminate us.
Where as the Doctor (William Hartnell at this time) hid away in the Tardis we were safe in the shed at least until our Dads got home and woe betide us if we got caught. It would have been better to have been exterminated that to be caught in that holy shrine otherwise known as THE garden shed which our Dads beavered away. To be fair my Dad was not overly keen on gardening or DIY duties and it was down to my Mum who used our 10×10 shed more.
A while ago when David Tennant was the incumbent doctor and was filming his swan song in this superb series, this well loved Doctor, my daughters favourite, gave the National Garden of Wales a Doctor Who ‘thumbs up’. At that time parts of Doctor Who ‘The Waters of Mars’ was being filmed on location in the Carmathernshire Gardens prior to it being broadcast on a Sunday night.
The Great Glasshouse at the National Garden of Wales was a prominent feature in this episode of this science fiction program. It was claimed that this instalment was one of the scariest to date, so garden sheds in the country be prepared for loads of children hiding away behind the safety of the shed door.
When interviewed on the Graham Norton show, David described the gardens as absolutely amazing and a true garden treasure. He also told viewers that if you live anywhere near the gardens then you should go and visit the gardens. I believe that even if you don’t live nearby you should try and make an effort to see these gardens, maybe on your next holiday.
After the opening in 2000, the National Botanic Gardens of Wales, to give it is full title boasts the largest greenhouse of its kind anywhere in the world. In this greenhouse is housed a range of different garden environments including a kitchen garden, a Mediterranean climate and a tropical zone. Among the garden plants are some of the rarest in the world. Also on the complex you are likely to find a range of various garden buildings, such as sheds, storage units and garden workshops which would be essential for the running of the Gardens.
