Concrete Spar CladdingThe standard cladding on all Lidget Compton concrete garages is the spar finish and the reason for this is that it blends in with almost all types of property. The substantial size of the spar chipping gives a very strong and rugged look to your new garage. Often described as pebble dashing – you will find it very resistant to all types of weather and can be painted, if you choose. If you are looking for something a little different that take a look at the following options. |
Sectional Brick Wall Cladding |
| Lidget Compton Concrete Garages offer the sectional brick wall cladding so that your new concrete garage can blend in with your brick built house and make it feel like it was meant to be there. With 4 different brick finishes – Warwick Red, Autumn Red, Southern Stock and Reclaimed brick – there should be an option which suits your home. This cladding is applied at the Lidget concrete garage factory and when finished gives a brick style garage at a fraction of the cost. Also there are two stone finishes – Cotswold and Pennine – if your home is surrounded by predominantly stone buildings |
Smooth Textured Wall Cladding |
| Lidget Compton Concrete Garages realised that not everyone wants brick, spar or concrete finishes so they offer a smooth textured garage wall cladding. This is applied on site giving you a concrete garage with no joins and which matches your home. Available in four different colours as standard – White, Magnolia, French Stone and Palace Grey – or, if these are not suitable then ask about matching your exact colour of your home. Amazing service. |

FAQs Concrete Garages
- Are prefab concrete garages any good?It goes without saying that when investing in a new modular concrete garage, you expect a very long life from it, and this is what the range from Lidget Compton offers. They back this up with a 10-year-long structural guarantee, providing peace of mind that your new garage has been built correctly with top-quality materials to ensure a long life.
This written warranty ensures the money you spend is well-protected and backed by a company with a national reputation. Also, unusually, this warranty is transferable to a new owner if you ever sell your house, and this reassurance will add to its value at that time.
These garages have sturdy roofs, and there is an option for translucent roof panels, which allow light to flood in on many of their models. The sheer strength of the concrete panels means you will have no worries about the security of your car or its rotting.
A great benefit of sectional garages is that they can be dismantled and taken with you if you move. - Does a garage slab need footings? All our buildings need a concrete base. The base for your garage should be 6 inches (152mm) wider and longer than the building’s external size. Make sure the base is flat, level, and square. You can do this by using shuttering and a level board to smooth the concrete as you pour it. If you need help finding a company to build your base, we can recommend some reliable businesses. This way, your new concrete garage will have the perfect foundation.
- How do I insulate my concrete garage? If your concrete garage is mostly used for storage and your car is left outside, it might be time to think about turning the garage into a more useful room. Depending on how you plan to use the converted space, you may need approval for building regulations. Usually, if you are not increasing the size of the garage, you will not need planning permission. Still, it is always a good idea to check with your local authority first.
You can definitely insulate a concrete garage, and it is a smart choice. After your garage is built, you can follow our guidelines to add insulation and make the space more comfortable. This works well whether you want to use the garage for storage, as a workshop, or for other purposes. - Lidget Concrete Garage CladdingThe standard cladding on all Lidget Compton concrete garages is the spar finish and the reason for this is that it blends in with almost all types of property.
