Well, not really, as there are so many different buildings available from the ‘cheap and possibly nasty’ right up to ones which would feel at home in a posh country home. To ensure you make the right decision, you need to do your homework to make the right choice and buy the right one for YOUR needs.
Always, where ever possible try to see your proposed new building before buying. This way you can ensure the quality of the building will meet your expectation. There’s no substitute for viewing these buildings ‘in the flesh’ so you can see the attention to detail given.

Size: | This Chessington multi room Cabin is 4.5m x 3.0m (15ft x 10ft nominal). Apex, gable or ‘A’ Shaped roofed style. Note this is the external size of the body of the cabin. The lugs extend 100mm on each corner making the overall size (as most other companies quote) 200m larger. We mention this so you know you are comparing ‘eggs with eggs’. Approximate clear internal size will be approx 4.4m x 2.9m. Please check with us if internal size is crucial. |
Cladding: | Standard interlocking logs are 44mm thick and cut from a top-thingrade of Nordic Timber and this ensures the maximum stability and longevity of the timber. The log profile has designed wind-tight connections to ensure a superior resistance against wind. Untreated. Kiln dried timber from sustainable sources. Naturally this costs significantly more but we will not cut costs in this area and risk the quality of your building in search of a quick profit. |
Floors: | 18mm thick T&G untreated boards used on these Cabin floors. No chipboard, OSB or other cheap sheet materials used on the floor, unlike some other Cabin UK suppliers. The sturdy floor joists are normally spaced no more than 650mm apart. All floor joists are pressure treated for long life as standard. |
Roofs: | 18mm thick T&G boards used on the roof sections supported by strong roof beams. Roof beams meet EN 388 stringent standards. Untreated. Roofing felt included as standard with option for EPDM felting system. 100mm (approx 4in) overhang all round. |
Doors: | Joinery quality double glazed contemporary style double doors 1588mm wide x 1957mm high (62½in x 77in) – approx sizes. Easy adjust hinges complete with gasket seals, fitted silver finish door handles, cylinder lock and two unique keys. Low doors sills giving you easier access into your cabin. Supplied untreated. Beware of doors with single glazing or excessively high door sills. |

Extra Door: | Joinery quality single door 835mm wide x 1957mm high (32¾in x 77in) – approx sizes. This door can be fitted in the front or in the partition to suit you (involves cutting the logs to size) Easy adjust hinges complete with gasket seals, recessed door latches, highly secure Euro Cylinder barrel Type mortice lock, fitted gold finish door handles and three unique keys. Supplied untreated. Beware of doors with single glazing and no multi-point locking system. This enables easy access into storage section. |
Windows: | Contemporary style joinery quality inward opening window included as standard. Size of window is 56cm wide x 178cm high (22in x 70in). This window can be fitted in the front or in the partition to suit you (involves cutting the logs to size). Complete with easy adjust hinges, silicon gasket seals and delightful silver finish window handles. Supplied untreated as standard. Double glazed as standard NOT single glazed. |

Storm Protection | Provided as standard are either ‘Wood Storm Protectors’ or threaded rods. This helps to ensure that the wall planks on your building will remain tight together depending on the weather. |
Fixings: | All required fixings (screws, nails etc) are included. |
Treatment: | All are supplied untreated so you can apply uour own choice of treatment. |
Assembly: | These cabins are supplied in kit form for self assembly. Option for erected through a third party if required. If being built you would require a concrete base or solid and level paving slab base. Optionally, we have an option for building a base for you. These buildings are assembled by interlocking the panels for ease of taking it down again if you decide to move. |
Delivery: | All buildings are delivered and HIABed off the lorry for you free of charge throughout central & Southern England. Deliveries to Scotland would cost £150 extra. Deliveries to Cornwall & Devon, South & West Wales and Northern England would cost an extra £100. |
Insulation | The cabins are supplied with chunky timber walls (good U-values) and double glazing as standard and you can ensure that they are comfortable year-round with the addition of our insulated floor and roof upgrade. We use 50mm PIR Celotex / Kingspan in the roof and cover this with a structural grade 18mm OSB roof deck atop before fitting your specified roofing material. We will use 25mm PIR Celotex / Kingspan in the floor. The fitment of insulation will not affect the internal headroom in any way and prices shown will include for fitting when our teams install your cabin. |

Current Delivery Times:- This is variable depending on model but this is currently in the 3-5 week window unless we have stock of the particular cabin in question on the ground here in the UK. If you are looking for an early delivery please call on (0800) 999 6995 and we will check the current stock and advise. We will always do our best to meet your needs. Don’t be misled by other companies quoting 10 days delivery, 15 days delivery, 20 days delivery etc. When days are mentioned in deliveries they usually relate to ‘working days’. This means 10 days = two weeks, 15 days = three weeks and 20 days – four weeks not quite the same as you might have expected.
