The Diamond ‘Storrington’ corner sheds are designed to fit in that corner (obviously) of your garden enabling you to make the most of the available space for your garden valuables, Besides being useful they are attractive additions and will enhance your garden making it feel more attractive. With a choice of four shed sizes, there should be a size to suit you.
Very well made from solid T&G timber they come complete with two opening windows. The strong well-braced door on these buildings has a rim lock and handle enabling you to lock your valuables away. A great choice for many gardens throughout England.
The most important reason for choosing a garden shed, whether it’s a standard or bespoke shed, is to give you extra room for storing your possessions. You can also move items out of your home into this building whether just for a little while when not required or to relieve your home from ‘overload’ with all those items we keep ‘just in case’. Wherever possible try to buy the largest garden shed you can as you will soon find it might not be larger enough. Just try to think ahead.
Before buying any garden shed – always check out what you might be buying. You will find there is a large difference in the prices of buildings and this is usually reflected in the quality of materials used. The cheap ones are likely to be made from the cheapest quality timber available rather than the ‘proper’ grade of timber which should be used on shed designed to last. To get a feel for the Diamond garden sheds take a look on this independent feedback web site as this will give you a better idea of the products and service offered by 1st Choice Leisure Buildings
The cheap shed, invariably, will be made fast growing whitewood timber. The better made ones are made using slow growing redwood deal timber as this ensures the most robust building at the best price. Redwood timber is more expensive to buy but, as far as value is concerned, is always much better than any sheds made in whitewood.
Whilst you may spend a little more for a redwood deal timber shed they will nearly always be far better value in the long run. If you only need a small building for a few years then a whitewood one might be considered but bear in mind when you come to sell a cheap looking garden shed can give a bad impression to any potential purchasers. Something to consider.
Also, ensure all timber is T&G boarding and that the framework of the shed is of a decent size NOT 1in x 1in (25mm x 25mm) used on some cheap corner buildings. Check before buying. Take a look on this page for advice on what to look out for – you won’t regret it. And you will nearly always find that the cheap shed is not the best value.s
To cut costs many cheap shed companies will use chipboard, OSB board, Wafer board or Sterling board on their shed floor and roofs which can be seen as ‘spoil the ship for a ha’p’orth of tar’ In the short term these boards may do a job but if they get wet, and they are outdoors, these boards will start to disintegrate. Not ideal for a garden shed protecting your valuables.
It could be seen that many of the cheap shed makers are being a little misleading by claiming their shed are made from ‘sheet materials’ hiding the fact they are made from chipboard and the like. Always ask a direct question to find out the right answer. 1st Choice Corner garden sheds are made using ‘proper’ T&G timber boards. Your 1st Choice should be to do right 1st time.
Garden sheds, in general, are quite bulky items and can be difficult to move into place. Besides that, they have 5 walls, not the usual 4 so are more difficult to assemble. Also, the better quality sheds are very heavy as well so it makes sense to let the experts build them for you.
By doing so you can be sure your new building will be erected and felted correctly which ensures that it will do its job of protecting your garden items from our British weather. Web sites selling the cheaper ones claims it’s easy to erect their shed but with the larger number of parts they come in can be a ‘minefield’. Just be a little wary certainly when 1st Choice Leisure Buildings offers free assembly of all their sheds. Let 1st Choice take the strain and not your back
You will find that most internet companies don’t have a shed display site for you to view their products beforehand. They may have a flashy web site or glitzy brochure but you can’t beat seeing examples ‘in the flesh’ so to speak.
1st Choice Leisure Buildings has a large garden shed display site between Woking and Guildford in Surrey and display about 40 buildings for the public to see. You might not see the ‘Storrington’ corner shed on display but there will be examples of other Diamond sheds so you can get a feel for the quality.
1st Choice has been in the garden shed business since 1979 and was the 1st in the UK to have a web site showing their products. With the web site AND their display site, you can get the best of both worlds. Well worth thinking about.

Current Delivery Times:- This is variable depending on model but, due to unprecedented demand for this range and limits on raw materials following the lockdown, lead time is generally around 6-10 weeks on the Diamond range. Don’t be misled by other companies quoting 10 days delivery, 15 days delivery, 20 days delivery etc. When days are mentioned in deliveries they usually relate to ‘working days’. This means 10 days = two weeks, 15 days = three weeks and 20 days – four weeks not quite the same as you might have expected.
