What Makes the Lidget Deco Deluxe Pent Different?
The main difference is its combination of a practical single-slope Pent roof with Golden Oak or Rosewood wood-effect detailing and a high standard specification. It includes a Georgian-style Hörmann up-and-over door, personal door, PVCu window, real brick front posts, PVCu guttering and professional fitting.
Can I Choose Golden Oak or Rosewood?
Yes. The Deco Deluxe Pent is available with a choice of Golden Oak or Rosewood wood-effect detailing. I think this is particularly useful when you want the garage to complement timber-effect PVCu windows, doors or other features on your home.
Which Way Does the Deco Deluxe Pent Roof Slope?
The mono-pitch roof is highest at the front and slopes down towards the rear. It uses fully galvanised steel roof sheets with a vapour-proof anti-condensation lining, supported on C-section galvanised steel rafters. Rear PVCu guttering and downpipes are included as standard.
What Doors and Windows Are Included?
A Georgian-style Hörmann up-and-over main door, 3ft PVC personal door and 4ft fixed PVCu window are included as standard. There are also options for electric operation of the main door and an opening PVCu window. You can see further ways of personalising the building on our Lidget garage options page.
Should I Choose the Deco Deluxe Pent or Standard Deluxe Pent?
I would choose between them mainly on appearance because both provide a well-equipped Pent garage. The Deco version is the one I would consider when the Golden Oak or Rosewood wood-effect finish suits your property, while the standard Lidget Deluxe Pent is the better comparison if you prefer a more conventional finish.
Why I Like the Deco Deluxe Pent
The Lidget Deco Deluxe Pent combines two things that don’t always come together: the straightforward practicality of a single-slope roof and a more decorative wood-effect finish. For me, that makes it an interesting choice when you want a well-equipped garage without the traditional roofline of an apex design.
Golden Oak or Rosewood detailing gives the building a warmer appearance, while many of the features customers commonly add to a more basic model are already included in the standard specification.
A Practical Single-Slope Roof
The Pent roof is highest at the front and slopes down towards the rear. It uses one-piece fully galvanised steel roof sheets supported on C-section galvanised steel rafters, with an anti-condensation lining applied beneath the roof.
I like the simplicity of this arrangement. If you don’t particularly want an apex roof, the Pent gives you a clean, practical profile while still providing a substantial building underneath. Brown PVCu fascias and vergeboards complete the roof edges, with matching guttering and downpipes included as standard.
More Included Than You Might Expect
One of the strengths of the Deco Deluxe specification is how much equipment is already included. You get a Georgian-style Hörmann up-and-over door, 4ft wide PVCu fixed window, 3ft personal access door, real brick front posts, PVCu guttering and downpipes, together with a sand and cement fillet.
When comparing this model with a cheaper garage, I would compare the finished specifications rather than just the starting prices. If you already know you want a personal door, window, guttering and upgraded detailing, the difference between two apparently similar buildings can become much smaller once all the extras are added.
Golden Oak or Rosewood?
The Deco styling gives you a choice between Golden Oak and Rosewood wood-effect finishes. Golden Oak provides the lighter appearance, while Rosewood gives you a considerably darker look.
My advice is to look at your house before choosing. If you already have woodgrain PVCu windows, doors or other external details, selecting a complementary finish can help the garage sit more naturally alongside the property.
Real Brick Posts Add Character at the Front
Hand-pointed real brick front posts are included, with a choice of brick colours. I think these work particularly well with the Deco finish because they break up the concrete frontage and complement the wood-effect details around the building.
There are also choices for the wall finish, including the standard spar appearance and optional brick-effect, stone or textured finishes. Rather than choosing each component separately, I would consider the walls, brick posts and wood-effect details together.
Choose Enough Space for Everyday Life
The Deco Deluxe Pent is available from 8ft 6in to 20ft 6in wide and from 14ft 3in to 24ft 3in long. Internal dimensions are normally around 6in less than the quoted external building size.
Don’t size the garage around the car alone. Allow room to open the doors and walk around it, then think about bicycles, tools, shelving, garden machinery or a workbench. If you have enough room on the property, a slightly larger garage can be considerably more useful over the years.
The Personal Door Is More Useful Than It Sounds
A 3ft wide personal access door is included as standard. For me, this is one of the practical advantages of choosing the Deluxe specification because you don’t have to open the main garage door whenever you want to retrieve a bicycle, tool or something from storage.
A 4ft wide fixed PVCu window is also included. Opening windows can be specified if required, which is worth considering if you intend to spend time inside the garage working on hobbies or using a workbench.
You Can Still Tailor the Specification
Although the Deco Deluxe already includes a generous specification, you are not restricted to the standard arrangement. Options include extra length, additional fixed or opening windows, alternative access arrangements, partitions and other alterations.
A partition can be particularly useful in a larger garage where you want to keep vehicle space separate from a workshop or storage area. I would think about these requirements before ordering so the building arrives configured around the way you intend to use it.
Don’t Compromise on the Concrete Base
A substantial garage needs a properly prepared foundation. The concrete base must be flat, square, level and made to the correct dimensions before the installation team arrives. Getting this right is far more important than trying to save a little money at the foundation stage.
Professional fitting is included, subject to the applicable delivery area, a correctly prepared base and suitable access from the delivery vehicle to the garage position. If you need help preparing the site, our base and additional building services provide more information about the assistance available.
Deco Deluxe Pent or Deco Deluxe Apex?
If you like the Golden Oak or Rosewood appearance but are deciding between the Pent and Apex versions, I would start with the roof shape. The Pent has a single slope running from the higher front down towards the rear, whereas the Apex gives you the familiar pitched roof with a central ridge.
I wouldn’t regard one as automatically better than the other. The Pent makes sense when you prefer its simpler roofline or it works better with the position of the building. If you specifically want the appearance of a traditional pitched roof, I would look at the Deco Deluxe Apex instead.
10-Year Transferable Structural Guarantee
The Lidget Deco Deluxe Pent comes with a 10-year structural guarantee which is transferable if you move home, subject to the manufacturer’s terms. I regard proper manufacturer backing as an important part of the package when you are buying a substantial building intended to remain in use for many years.
Why You Can Rely on My Experience
I’m Robin Antill, founder of 1st Choice Leisure Buildings, and I have worked with garden buildings since starting Marina Sheds in 1979. Over the years I have been involved with sheds, summerhouses, garages, garden rooms and log cabins, both as a manufacturer and retailer.
My son Craig joined me in 1992 after studying carpentry at Guildford College and today runs the day-to-day business, with me supporting him and the team as required. After all those years, I still believe the important thing is understanding what you actually get for your money and choosing features you will genuinely use. You can read more about Robin Antill and the history of 1st Choice Leisure Buildings.
See the Finishes in Person
The Deco models are particularly worth seeing before ordering because colours and finishes can look quite different in natural daylight compared with photographs. Golden Oak, Rosewood, brick colours and the different wall finishes can all influence the character of the finished garage.
You can visit our Surrey garden building display site near Guildford and Woking, where you can inspect representative Lidget buildings and discuss the available choices with us.
Would I Choose the Deco Deluxe Pent?
I would shortlist this model if I wanted a single-slope roof, liked the Golden Oak or Rosewood appearance and expected to make good use of the included personal door, window and guttering. In that situation, the Deco Deluxe specification brings together a lot of useful features in one package.
If the wood-effect detailing isn’t important to you, I would compare the standard Deluxe Pent. Equally, if you prefer a traditional pitched roof, I would look at the Apex alternatives. The right choice depends on which features you actually value rather than which model has the longest specification.
What Is a Deco Deluxe Pent Garage?

The roof is highest at the front of the garage and slopes down towards the rear. It is made from fully galvanised steel roof sheets with an anti-condensation lining and is supported on galvanised steel rafters.
Does It Include a Personal Door and Window?
Yes. A 3ft wide personal access door and a 4ft wide fixed PVCu window are included as standard. Other window and access options are available if required.
Are Guttering and Downpipes Included?
Yes. PVCu guttering and downpipes are included as standard on the Deco Deluxe Pent, together with PVCu fascias and vergeboards.

A Final Word From Robin
For me, the Lidget Deco Deluxe Pent makes most sense when you genuinely want both parts of its specification: the practical single-slope roof and the warmer Golden Oak or Rosewood appearance. Add the included Georgian-style door, personal door, window, brick posts and guttering, and you have a well-equipped building without needing to start adding all those items individually. If you are unsure whether the Deco Deluxe Pent or another Lidget model would suit your property better, please get in touch and we will help you compare them.
