Our exclusive Platinum range of buildings has always been hand-crafted using traditional tried and trusted designs and construction methods but, taking it’s visual cues from the past, the exquisite Platinum Portsmouth Traditional Apex Workshop is something that we are particularly proud to offer.

The many customers who have already taken delivery of one of these buildings also talk about how they are proud to own one. There must be something to it!

Constructed using a choice of three different top quality redwood claddings – the traditional style Weatherboard cladding being the most popular – this building boasts traditional style corrugated bitumen roof sheets, Georgian windows and ornate back door furniture with mortice lock.

Inspired by ages gone by, the Platinum Portsmouth Traditional Apex Workshop will evoke memories of your Grandfather’s shed at the bottom of his garden. If you are really looking to relive a memory we can even supply a range of good quality wood stains in a wide palette of traditional colours which you can apply to re-create almost any childhood memory

Our grandparents knew the meaning of something being made ‘right’ and took great delight in owning a traditional shed they could be proud of with these types of qualities. The Portsmouth building would be one they would enthuse about and would reflect the very high standards they would expect.

Free Assembly In Green Delivery Areas

As if all the great features of these workshops is not enough we will also assemble it for you without charge in (*) green delivery areas. Now that’s got to be good! This will save you a lot of hard work as well as the worry about whether you have built it correctly. Many companies on the web will tell you it’s easy (mainly because they don’t offer that option) but don’t be fooled. By ensuring your new workshop is built correctly is vital for the lastability of it and will ensure that it will be able to throw off everything ‘Mother Nature’ throws at it. Peace of mind – priceless. But if you don’t want us to assemble it then we can offer you a discount on the list price for you.

Always Deal With a Reputable Manufacturer

There are many ‘shady’ companies out there trying to fleece their victims so you need to be wary that you don’t get stung. The other side of the coin is that there are a great many companies which do offer a good product. How can you tell? Ensure the company you are dealing with has some history and that you can get some feedback from their earlier customers. WALLS
Sturdy 75mm x 38mm (70mm x 34mm finished) pressure treated framing which is diagonally braced and screwed together before being lined with a white/grey vapour proof lining and clad externally with your choice of:
• 19mm (15mm finished) pressure treated T&G Shiplap
• 22mm (20mm finished) pressure treated T&G Loglap
• 23mm – 6mm pressure treated Weatherboard
FLOOR
19mm (15mm finished) pressure treated T&G on 47mm x 47mm (45mm x 45mm finished) pressure treated joists which are spaced every 0.3m (12”). Option to upgrade to 22mm (20mm finished) pressure treated T&G if required.
ROOF
Maintenance free Onduline sheeting on 16mm (12mm finished) T&G match boarding with roof purlins and rafters supported as necessary on sturdy roof trusses and beams. The roof incorporates a unique soffit venting system which ensures good airflow within the roof space.
HEIGHTS
There is a generous internal eaves height of 1.94m (6’ 4”)raising to an internal ridge height of:
• 1.8m (6’) apex = 2.16m (7’ 1”)
• 2.4m (8’) apex = 2.24m (7’ 4”)
• 3.0m (10’) 10’ apex = 2.24m (7’ 4”)
• 3.6m (12’) apex = 2.24m (7’ 4”)
All external roof heights comply with the 2.5m maximum height restriction imposed when erecting a building under Permitted Development.
DOOR
A single 0.76m (2’ 6”) wide x 1.78m (5’ 10”) high heavy duty Framed, Ledged and Braced door – set in a solid frame with a traditional drip-cill – hung on black butt hinges and fitted with a mortice lock and a black antique door handle.
WINDOWS
Each building is fitted with a pair of four-pane Georgian style windows – one of which will open – in the front of the building. Toughened glass is standard but double glazing is available as an optional extra. Additionally you are able to add extra windows or move the existing for a small additional cost.

These are estimated delivery times and presume that your base is in situ and all required admin has been completed (site survey forms returned, etc.) The quoted times cannot be guaranteed and may vary depending upon your exact location as well as the availability of staff and raw materials. The times quoted do not make allowance for any Christmas closedowns. Please check at time of ordering if timing is crucial. Please also be aware - if requesting additional services such as base construction or building removal - that these may be longer than the quoted delivery time for the building itself and this may impact the overall timeframe.
The price for the building includes free delivery and installation within the areas shown but this is dependant upon a suitable level and accessible base being available. If access is through the property or if there are height restrictions or tight corners which demand the panels be made in smaller sections then there will be an extra cost of £180. Likewise a charge of £180 is applicable if there is no direct parking outside the property eg if a third person has to be sent to move the vehicle to another location and sit with it whilst installation works are underway. Red route deliveries may not be possible so please inquire with office with photos etc.
