Well, not really, as there are so many different buildings available from the ‘cheap and possibly nasty’ right up to ones which would feel at home in a posh country home. To ensure you make the right decision, you need to do your homework to make the right choice and buy the right one for YOUR needs.
Always, where ever possible try to see your proposed new building before buying. This way you can ensure the quality of the building will meet your expectation. There’s no substitute for viewing these buildings ‘in the flesh’ so you can see the attention to detail given.

| Size: | The Ascot ‘2’ multi-room Cabin is 8.4m x 3.2m. The lugs extend 100mm on each corner making the overall outer measurement of the shell of the building 200mm smaller at 8.2m x 3.0m. Approximate clear internal size will be approx 8m x 2.8m Please check with us if internal size is crucial The Ascot ‘1’ multi-room Cabin is 6.4m x 3.6m. The lugs extend 100mm on each corner making the overall outer measurement of the shell of the building 200mm smaller at 6.2m x 3.4m. Approximate clear internal size will be approx 6m x 3.2m Please check with us if internal size is crucial Pent, sloping roof style. |
| Cladding: | The log profile has designed wind-tight connections to ensure a superior resistance against wind. This is 70mm thick standard interlocking logs and cut from a top-thin grade of Nordic Timber and this ensures the maximum stability and longevity of the timber. Untreated. Nordic timber from sustainable sources which has been kiln dried. Naturally this costs significantly more but we will not cut costs in this area and risk the quality of your building in search of a quick profit. |
| Floors: | The Cabin floors are 28mm thick T&G untreated boards. No chipboard, OSB or other cheap sheet materials used on the floor, unlike some other Cabin UK suppliers. The sturdy floor joists are normally spaced no more than 650mm apart. All floor joists are pressure treated for long life as standard. |
| Roofs: | 18mm thick T&G boards used on the roof sections supported by strong roof beams. Roof beams meet EN 388 stringent standards. Untreated. Roofing felt included as standard with option for EPDM felting system. 128mm overhang on sides and rear. On the front there is 79mm roof overhang. |
| Doors: | Joinery quality double glazed contemporary style double doors 148cm wide x 201cm high – approx sizes. Easy adjust hinges complete with gasket seals, fitted silver finish door handles, cylinder lock and two unique keys. Low doors sills giving you easier access into your Cabin. Supplied untreated. Beware of doors with single glazing or excessively high door sills. |
| Partition: | An internal partition included as standard on the Ascot ‘2’ model (None on the slightly smaller Ascot ‘1’) giving you two distinct areas within this multi room Cabin combo building. An internal single door included for access. Untreated. Kiln dried timber from sustainable sources. |
| Windows: | Ascot 1: Contemporary style joinery quality windows. Included as standard are two large contemporary windows which are 143 x 194cm and one opening window 90cm x 196cm. Ascot 2: includes three contemporary style windows – 2 of which are 143 x 194cm and one at 42 x 143cm. All windows supplied untreated as standard. Toughened double glazed as standard NOT single glazed. |

| Storm Protection | Provided as standard are either ‘Wood Storm Protectors’ or threaded rods. This helps to ensure that the wall planks on your Cabin will remain tight together depending on the weather. |
| Fixings: | All required fixings (screws, nails etc) are included. |
| Treatment: | All garden cabins are supplied untreated. |
| Installation: | Supplied in kit form for self erection. Option for assembly through a third party if required. If being built you would require a concrete base or solid and level paving slab base. Optionally, we have an many extra services to help you in some areas. These Cabins are assembled by interlocking the panels for ease of taking it down again if you decide to move. |
| Delivery: | All log buildings are delivered and HIABed off the lorry This delivery cost is included in the shown price throughout central & Southern England (green areas on map). Delivery costs to Yellow and Blue areas can be seen on the order form or on delivery area page. |
| Insulation | The cabins are supplied with chunky timber walls (good U-values) and double glazing as standard and you can ensure that they are comfortable year-round with the addition of our insulated floor and roof upgrade. We use 50mm PIR Celotex / Kingspan in the roof and cover this with a structural grade 18mm OSB roof deck atop-thin before fitting your specified roofing material. We will use 25mm PIR Celotex / Kingspan in the floor. The fitment of insulation will not affect the internal headroom in any way and prices shown will include for fitting when our teams install your cabin. |
