So, what sets us apart? Why choose us over and above anyone else? Well, one thing you can check off the list is that we’ve got a fabulous display site. Is that all that important?
Yes, it is! We know that buying a log cabin is a big decision. We believe it’s important for you to see exactly what you’re getting, so that’s why we invite you to come and walk around our log cabins under 2.5 metres high, feel the solid construction, and get a real sense of how the cabin will look and feel in your garden. There’s nothing like the real thing, and that’s precisely what we’re offering.
Regarding quality, we don’t cut any corners – all our cabins come with double-glazed doors and windows to help keep the elements out and keep a lovely, comfortable temperature all year round.
Plus, unlike some suppliers, we include wooden floors as standard – NO cheap OSB artificial boards here!
Our cabins are crafted with tongue and groove interlocking logs for a durable, secure structure that will withstand time.
We know not everyone has the time or expertise to build a log cabin from scratch, which is exactly why we offer an assembly and painting service.
Our experienced team will handle the heavy lifting (literally), ensuring your cabin is installed quickly and efficiently so you can enjoy it as soon as possible – that’s why you bought it, after all.
If you prefer a more personalised touch, we also offer bespoke log cabins under 2.5m, perfectly designed to meet your needs and preferences.

And what about summer, you ask? Will it be too hot then? No! Insulation works to keep things warm in winter, but it keeps things cool in summer, which is why you’ll be able to use your log cabin 365 days a year if you want to.

Any delivery or access issues for low-height cabins in Woking or Ripley Surrey?
Not really. These cabins come in pieces, so as long as we can get through the side gate or through a clear side passage, it’s fine. Woking’s tight parking can be more trouble than the cabin itself. As long as the delivery van can stop somewhere nearby, we’re good.
-
Can I use a cabin under 2.5m tall all year in Ripley and throughout Surrey
Yes, as long as you get
insulation sorted. We’ve put loads in around Ripley and around Surrey, and with floor and roof insulation plus decent glazing, people use them all winter. It’s Surrey, not the Highlands — a small heater will keep it warm. Summer’s no problem at all.
-
Do I need planning permission for a log cabin under 2.5m tall in Guildford?
Normally no. That’s the whole point of keeping it under 2.5 metres — it keeps you
inside permitted development, so you don’t have to deal with planning. As long as it’s for normal garden use (office, gym, hobby room, storage) and you’re not sticking someone in there to live full-time, you’re usually fine. Only time it becomes a faff is if you’re in one of the conservation pockets around Guildford or if your garden slopes so much that the cabin ends up taller on one side. Most people never have an issue.
-
How long does it take to install a cabin under 2.5m in Guildford or Woking Surrey?
Most go up in a day or two. If it’s a bigger one or the weather’s fighting us, maybe three days. The long bit is the base — that’s usually done beforehand anyway. Once we’re on-site with the cabin, they go up pretty quickly.
-
What base do I need for an under-2.5m cabin in Woking?
-
What can I use a 2.5m cabin for in Surrey?
Pretty much anything that isn’t living space. Home offices, gyms, craft rooms, garden bars, treatment rooms, music rooms - we’ve seen it all. Because of its low height, it blends into the garden nicely and doesn’t upset neighbours.
-
What extra costs should I expect for a 2.5m cabin in Surrey?
Usual extras:
* Base: £800–£2,000 depending on size and if the garden needs levelling
* Electrics: £300–£1,000 (lights, sockets, heater feed)
* Insulation: depends on the spec you choose
Nothing unexpected — just the usual bits every cabin needs.
-
What maintenance does a small, low-height cabin need in Surrey?
Just keep the timber coated. Every couple of years, give it a fresh lick of paint or stain. Keep plants away from the walls, clear leaves out of the corners, and check the roof felt or shingles now and then. Nothing complicated — a bit of care and it’ll last years and years.
-
What mistakes do people in Surrey make with under-2.5m cabins?
The biggest one is assuming the cabin will magically be warm without insulation. Second is putting it right up against a fence where you can’t get behind it to maintain it. And the classic one - buying a cabin too small because they’re trying to keep the cost down, then wishing they’d gone bigger once it’s built. Happens all the time.
-
What wall thickness and insulation should I choose in Surrey?
If you want to use it a lot, go for 44mm or 70mm walls. Anything thinner on a bigger cabin feels a bit light. Always insulate the roof and floor — that’s where the heat vanishes. People often skip that, then call us later saying it’s chilly. Don’t skip it.
