Our Platinum Potting Sheds and Greenhouses are extremely popular with the gardener as they have been carefully designed with their needs in mind. We offer a choice of several distinct styles however, no matter which style suits your garden the best, you can be assured that we fit as much glass as possible to ensure that the maximum amount of light floods in to help your plants develop. All include free assembly as standard.

Don’t Buy On Price Alone
It’s often easy to choose on price but this can be a false economy. A cheap shed will be made from cheaper, often unsuitable, materials and is likely to have horticultural glass or plastic for the windows. These Platinum buildings are made to last and to make you feel proud of them. Based on the same principles of the ‘high end’ Southampton workshops they are built to last. The attention to detail is staggering and include brass hinges and a five lever mortice lock on the stable door, supplied as standard. There is diagonal bracing in all corners and the building is screwed together. There is a really great bench for working on and an opening window on each end for ventilation. The cladding, floor and framing are fully pressure treated for long life and is all timber, NO OSB board or ‘sheet’ materials on these buildings. All of these features ensure the very best for your garden.
Choice of Claddings
You can choose from thick 15mm (finished thickness) shiplap or 19mm (finished thickness) loglap redwood T&G cladding for your potting shed. The timber itself is solid long lasting redwood timber, not the cheaper inferior whitewood used on most greenhouse, and the walls and framing are fully pressure treated with 15 years design life against rotting. Vitally important on a building like this is toughened glass for safety and this is standard. Unlike many of our competitors who use cheap horticultural glass, which is highly dangerous if it breaks, or cheap plastic which flexes and is noisy in the wind. Toughened glass is the correct choice where you have young children in the garden playing. Further enhancing the qualities is the screwed framework. Again attention to detail.
Possibility of Bespoke Buildings To Suit You
There is a standard range of sizes available which will suit most situations and gardens, however, if these don’t meet your needs or you would like something different then just give us a call and ask the question. If it is at all possible then we will endeavour to help. Well worth considering if you like these buildings but want something a little different. Don’t be afraid to ask and NEVER settle for second best.
Viewing of Platinum Garden Buildings
It’s always a good idea, where ever possible, to view beforehand. We do have solar potting sheds on display as well as several of the Platinum Garden Workshops on view. By taking a look at these you will be able to see the high attention to detail which goes into the Platinum range of building, hopefully, giving you a good opinion of what you are likely to get. They are situated near Guildford and Woking and has a largish display. By taking a look, at least at similar buildings from the manufacturer, you can get a feel for the quality which you can never get from a brochure or computer screen. As far as other web sites are concerned which don’t offer an opportunity to view the question to ask yourself is WHY??
These greenhouses are Assembled FREE of Charge as Standard
In addition to the great features we will assemble them in your garden onto your solid, level prepared base at no charge. This will save you a lot of hard work and time. You can also be sure that they have been assembled correctly which is crucial of these type of buildings. That has to be good for you. Many suppliers say it’s easy to build (mainly because they don’t offer that option) but don’t take the risk. It’s easy to be wise after the event and you don’t want problems afterwards do you? If it has been erected correctly then it will withstand all that ‘Mother Nature’ throws at it. However, if you really want to erect it yourself then we can offer a discount off our list prices.

There are many ‘dodgy’ companies out there trying to rip off unwary people so it best to be a little careful. There are, of course, more good than bad in this business so how can you tell. The length of time in business and customers feedback is always a good indicator. WALLS Sturdy 47mm x 38mm (44mm x 34mm finished) pressure treated framing which is diagonally braced and screwed together before being clad with your choice of: • 19mm (15mm finished) pressure treated T&G Shiplap • 22mm (20mm finished) pressure treated T&G Loglap FLOOR Greenhouse are supplied without floor to aid drainage. ROOF Toughened glass panes throughout. HEIGHTS There is a minimum internal eaves height of 1.91m (6’ 3”) on all models with extra height being available if required. All standard external roof heights comply with the 2.5m maximum height restriction imposed when erecting a building under Permitted Development. GREENHOUSE STYLE A charming greenhouse with approximate 1.2m (4’) high glazing to all four sides, a part glass door, three opening windows (one to each side wall and one to the rear) and a single slatted bench. DOOR All external half glass doors are 44mm thick and hung on black butt hinges and fitted with a 5-lever mortice lock and black ornate antique door handle. On 1.8m (6’) wide greenhouses the width of the door is reduced to 0.6m (2’) width WINDOWS Given the nature of the building we purposely design it to feature as much glass as is possible for the given size however, as shown in the photos, the glass does not always extend ‘wall to wall’ for structural reasons.

These are estimated delivery times and presume that your base is in situ and all required admin has been completed (site survey forms returned, etc.) The quoted times cannot be guaranteed and may vary depending upon your exact location as well as the availability of staff and raw materials. The times quoted do not make allowance for any Christmas closedowns. Please check at time of ordering if timing is crucial. Please also be aware - if requesting additional services such as base construction or building removal - that these may be longer than the quoted delivery time for the building itself and this may impact the overall timeframe.
The price for the building includes free delivery and installation within the areas shown but this is dependant upon a suitable level and accessible base being available. If access is through the property or if there are height restrictions or tight corners which demand the panels be made in smaller sections then there will be an extra cost of £180. Likewise a charge of £180 is applicable if there is no direct parking outside the property eg if a third person has to be sent to move the vehicle to another location and sit with it whilst installation works are underway. Red route deliveries may not be possible so please inquire with office with photos etc.
