Yes, you can. If you like any of our designs but would like a different size then we should be able to help you. Likewise, if you like the 13×8 log cabin size but would like a different design then we can make it bespoke to suit you. Take a look at our

We understand that the regular selection of pre-made cabins may not fulfill everyone's requirements, so we are able to provide custom cabins to accommodate those needs. All of our purpose made Trentan log cabins have the following specifications.
- Walls:-Choice of 44mm or 70mm thick double tongue and groove interlocking logs.
- Floor:- 18mm T&G match boarding on pressure treated floor joist (included as standard and NOT a chargeable optional extra)
- Roof:- 18mm T&G match boarding on sturdy roof purlins
- Roof Overhang:- approx 200mm overhang on all four sides
- Roof Covering:- Felt tiles (black, grey, brown or green) on apex buildings. Roofing felt on all pent cabins.
- Building Height:- Under 2.5m overall (excluding any base or roof insulation upgrades)

- Step Two:- Add doors and windows to suit your requirements.

Because there is such an extensive range of wooden log buildings available, the quality (or lack of it) varies considerably. You need to tread carefully to ensure you are not disappointed. An ideal thickness which you should use for log buildings is 44mm. This thickness provides adequate strength to the building which makes it suitable for most uses. Thicker 70mm timber is the best as it is naturally insulating. This means that you do not need to install expensive wall insulation

Ensure that all apex and pent cabin-shaped ends are supplied cut to size & shape. Many cheap cabin kit manufacturers supply panels which need to be cut by you. This may save money but means more work for you and the possibility of mistakes. It makes good sense to have the least amount of work possible. The best option is to have the cabin built for you.

Most 13 x 8 log cabins are supplied untreated as standard but all buildings will require suitable protection from the elements. Many of our buildings have an option to have a factory-applied paint/stain finish but our interlocking log cabins generally do not. In these cases, we can help.
