Winter Garden Must Have With Your Woodpro Log Cabin Gazebo
When winter has well and truly arrived, you may have been fully prepared for its arrival, you might have been relaxing too much to notice it creeping up until it was already here. Either way, it’s still not too late to make sure this winter is one to enjoy for your garden, or to plan to make next winter one to remember. Here are a few ideas to help make the colder months that little bit more special for all your horticultural types.Leaves, Or Lack Thereof
Every year it happens, and every year it causes frustration. So many leaves in your garden, but you’re sure there weren’t that many on the trees. So begins the hours of traipsing around the garden with a rake to pile all the leaves together, only to have your progress ruined by a b breeze coming in, or your overly-playful dog thinking he’s helping. Why not make the whole process so much easier? Get yourself a leaf-blower, and you can have everything done before the wind even picks up, there are even cordless models if you have a particularly large garden to tidy up.
It might be cold, but that’s still no excuse not to go outside and enjoy your garden you spent so long creating, providing, of course, you don’t have snow covering it, then it’s fine to stay inside. Building or buying a fire pit can be a great way to keep the party going a little longer. There’s something mesmerizing and soothing about sitting outside with a beer or glass of wine and staring into a gently crackling log fire. Invite some friends over and open a big bag of marshmallows. Not only is it incredibly useful, but it can also add a beautiful focal point for your garden. You can even test your astronomy skills, as the coldest winter nights tend to have incredibly clear skies.
If you are a lover of fresh fruit and vegetables, then this is a must-have for you. By investing in a greenhouse shed or garden potting shed and ensuring it is fully insulated and heated, you can have the food you love all year round, and at no risk of winter destroying your crops. There are many options to choose from for your heating; from overhead lighting to heating cables for the soil, there’s bound to be something that fits your needs perfectly.
Fairy Or Solar Panel Lights
With the winter evenings comes the shorter days, and it can feel like you haven’t seen proper sunlight in a while. It can feel extremely dull and uninspiring, especially when it’s all dreary and wet outside. Light up your garden with some lights to give it a cosy, inviting, and not to mention festive feel. This is a nice addition if you do decide to go for a fire pit, as you can transform your garden into your very own winter wonderland.
Check Over Your Garden Buildings
Before the onset of winter it’s a good idea to check over your summerhouse in your garden or log cabin to ensure everything is set up to stand firm against the bad weather to come. You can find more advice about the colder season of the year on this page.
Hopefully, this has given a few ideas to preserve and make the most out of your garden log cabin gazebo during the winter months.
