The Washington Garden Room is mostly used for leisure but can also make a very good garden office so you can work from home. Being made with very heavy duty joinery doors and windows, of which at least two open, it can be very secure. The amount of windows allows natural light to flood in creating a pleasant working environment. These garden rooms are constructed using a solid 2×2 vertical framework and will be clad with a redwood deal (not cheap, less durable whitewood used on ‘cheaper’ garden offices) T&G shiplap boards. Also an option for the slightly thicker attractive loglap finish. You will find that all materials used on these home garden offices are top quality with nothing spared in making a well-made building.

Garden Offices Made to Suit Your Bespoke Requirements
We all have different requirements for our garden room or we have different size gardens so there is a need for a bespoke garden office to suit YOU. Unlike many web-based companies, we can do this so whatever your needs are it can be met. Just ask about your proposed garden office and we will do our best to help. The only limitation is that your proposed garden office will need to be square or rectangular. Other than that – more or less anything. So if you need a garden office made to your bespoke requirements then you should talk to us so you get the home office to suit YOU – just ask.
Can I Insulate My Summer Room After Delivery?
It’s reasonably easy to insulate a summerhouse if you have semi-reasonable DIY skills. You would need to buy polystyrene or fibreglass insulation and then cut this and fit it in between the internal framework. The fibreglass insulation will need tacking into place to stop it moving before you fix the inner skin. This can be plywood, hardboard (which you can get with an attractive veneer on it) or even T&G boarding. This is OK for the walls but the roof can be a little tricky as you have to put the insulation into place, but you have gravity working against you, making fitting the inner skin fiddly. You would need 2 or 3 people to do the roof. After you have completed that it would also be a good idea to use cover strips over the joins to finish it off. The ‘Washington’ Garden Office is Normally on Available for Viewing.
If thinking about a new garden room for your home it’s good practice to see one ‘in the flesh’. Take a visit to our show site near Woking and Guildford to see one for yourself. We usually have one on display as well as other Diamond buildings suitable for use as a garden office. It also worth taking a look at an independent customer feedback (opens new page) such as this one to get a feel for these garden rooms from previous customers. Be very wary about feedback site run by the websites as these can be easily manipulated.
