Garden sheds can be used to store outdoor furniture

British gardens could be at risk this winter unless garden sheds are used properly throughout the colder months.
This is the suggestion of a new poll by Saga Home Insurance, which revealed that over a quarter (26 per cent) of British people do not plan on taking inside any plants or gardening equipment this winter.
Just one in five said they plan on covering garden furniture, while only one in ten are planning on protecting their barbeques.
Saga Group executive chairman Andrew Goodsell said that leaving a barbeque out to rust will result in a replacement having to be bought next summer.
"As a nation we are passionate about gardens and outdoor spaces, but when spring knocks on the door many of us could face hefty bills to replace items neglected during the harsher months, or stolen from insecure sheds," he commented.
"By taking a few simple steps to protect their plants and possessions, garden-owners can potentially save themselves hundreds of pounds."
Elsewhere, Confused.com recently said that bonfires on November 5th should be kept as far away as possible from garden sheds to minimise any risk.
