Pull the deckchairs out of the garden shed

18:03:20 29th March 2010

Sun worshipers might want to think about pulling their outdoor chairs from the back of the garden shed as spring officially arrives.

Although there may still be a bite in the air, the Telegraph suggests that those with gardens should set up "impromptu seating areas" to take advantage of the sunshine when it does appear.

It suggested that watching how the sun travels across the garden throughout the day will help those with a garden to identify the perfect spot from which to drink their morning coffee - or a glass of wine after work.

"A neatly hedged bay beside the gravel path provides shelter from spring breezes for a smart metal café table and matching chairs," the newspaper added.

With spring now firmly on people's minds, lets-do-diy.com recently put forward some useful advice for anyone considering sprucing up their garden sheds for the new season.

The website said that they should be eye-catching rather than eyesores, especially during the summer months when they are much more in use than during winter.
