Capital Steel Buildings could keep expensive items safe

17:05:20 7th May 2010

Residents in Stroud may want to invest in a Capital Steel Building to keep their property safe after two burglaries in the area.

Over May 3rd and May 4th two incidents occurred at insecure garden outbuildings in Stancombe and Eastcombe respectively, reports the Stroud News and Journal.

In the first incident a £250 petrol hedge trimmer was stolen while a generator was taken from the second unlocked garage.

However crime prevention advisor PC Mark Godsland told the news provider that it is easy to prevent thefts like this from occurring.

He said: "Owners should check the vulnerability of their sheds." PC Godsland also advised making sure window and door locks are strong on any outbuilding.

Furthermore if a number of high-value bikes are kept in the shed or garage a shackle or chain could be set in a concrete floor, to padlock the bikes too.

A Capital Steel Building would also be a good investment to keep expensive items safely stored away. They are made from solid high tensile steel, making the building strong and durable.
