Current Delivery Times:- This is variable depending on model but, due to unprecedented demand for this range and limits on raw materials following the lockdown, lead time is generally around 14-16 weeks on the Diamond range. HOWEVER, if you are looking for an earlier delivery please call on (0800) 999 6995 and we will do our best to meet your needs. Don’t be misled by other companies quoting 10 days delivery, 15 days delivery, 20 days delivery etc. When days are mentioned in deliveries they usually relate to ‘working days’. This means 10 days = two weeks, 15 days = three weeks and 20 days – four weeks not quite the same as you might have expected.

These Diamond Barnham heavy duty wooden workshops, besides the superb specifications, are available in any size to suit YOU and your garden. Also, the positioning of the doors and windows again can be to your bespoke requirements. If you would like extra or no windows, that’s OK, extra door, wider door or half glass door – again no problem. If you are considering two buildings for your garden why not have one with an internal partition. With an extra door, you can have two buildings in one. Much tidier and usable than two workshops.

Whilst the web is a great thing and allows you to find no end of different products and research them, and this includes garden workshops and wooden buildings, the downside is that very few garden workshops companies selling on the ‘web’ allows you the opportunity to see what you are buying. Specifications

Sizes:	These pent garden workshops are available in sizes from 6×4 right up to 28×14 and larger. Widths from 4′, 5′, 6′, 7′, 8′, 9′, 10′, 11, 12 & 14′ but these pent workshops can be made in most sizes to suit YOU so please ask if you need any other size.
Cladding:	These pent and single sloped roof workshops are clad in T&G Shiplap which is 19mm (15mm finished thickness) thick. Cheap inferior whitewood is not used – only redwood deal. Externally treated as standard. Coach screwed together construction.
Framing:	Standard framing is 50 x 50mm thick (2″ x 2″ nominal). Effectively thicker in corners when erected (about 70 x 45mm)
Designs:	These are made with an pent or mono-pitch roof. Sometimes known as a flat roof, lean-to roof or single sloped roof. If you are looking for a apex or gable roof then take a look on this page.
Roofs:	These pent roofed workshops are solidly made from 16mm (12mm finished thickness) T&G timber and covered with heavy green mineral roofing felt. (no chipboard, sterling board, OSB board or sheet material – as these are unsuitable for outdoor use.)
Floors:	The standard floor is made from extra strong heavy duty ¾” v313 grade moisture resistant particular boarded floor set on 50 x 45mm (2×2 nominal) pressure impregnated joists for long life.
Doors:	Supplied as standard are fully framed barn like joinery quality heavy duty doors. One pair of fully boarded doors hung on two pairs 23″ heavy duty door bands, mortice lock and lever furniture on pent buildings 8′ wide and 8′ long and over as well as two tower bolts. A single fully boarded door on the smaller wooden workshop, (i.e. workshops less than 8ft wide across the gable end) Beware of garden buildings doors with NO bracing.
Windows:	These pent workshops windows are made from 3mm clear horticultural glass bedded in clear silicone. (Not cheap plastic or perspex which scratches). All pent heavy duty workshops include at least one opening window, which is top hung with 2 t-hinges and one casement stay. Option for toughened – laminated – wired glass if you choose.
Corner Strips:	The quality of these garden workshops is backed up with the attention to detail as ‘Wrap Around’ corner strips which give extra protection to the end grain of the timber and give a smarter finish are standard. A small touch but shows a lot of thought has gone into these garden storage workshops.
Height:	Internal lower wall height is a generous 194m (76½in) eaves on all workshops. The higher wall is 219cm (7ft 2in). Optional extra height if required. Internal heights quoted NOT external which most firms quote)
Treatment:	All garden workshops and sectional buildings are DIPPED treated with a high quality spirit based timber preservative free of charge. (NOT washed out water based treatment).
Nails:	All nails and fittings are all rust resistant to ensure long lasting good appearance to your workshop. NO staples are used as these are not suitable for a quality heavy duty building.
Insulation:	For all year round use consider our option for lining and insulation. Cooler in Summer. Warmer in Winter. Make your garden workshop work for its living.
Erection:	All our pent garden workshops and sectional buildings are installed FREE of charge. All you need to do is to provide a solid level concrete or paving slab base or timber decked area, or possibly could be built on your timber bearers. Or you could choose the option of having an a timber raft built for you. Buildings are secured using coach screws for ease of taking them down again if you decide to move.
Delivery:	There is no charge for delivery within Diamond standard delivery area but these apex garden workshops can be delivered in some areas, outside of the free delivery area, for a surcharge.
Bespoke:	Any size pent garden workshop or wooden workshop made to suit you and can be made with extra doors, windows or partitions. If not sure please contact us for your personal quote
Optional Extras:	These include double or wider doors, extra windows, georgian windows, extra height, pressure treating, lining and insulation, partitions, toughened – laminated – wired glass etc – please ask.

Sizes:	Unless specified as finished size then sizes quoted are before machining which reduces the size quoted by about 3mm. BEWARE. Many garden workshops manufacturers quote BEFORE machining sizes making them APPEAR larger – don’t be fooled.

Types and Styles of Garden Shed and Choosing the Right One

When buying a garden shed it’s important that you have a building which will suit you and your garden so rather than compromising we offer a very large range of styles which should suit all situations. However, if our standard styles of sheds don’t fit YOUR bill please let us know and we will endeavour to accommodate you. After all it is YOUR new shed so you should call the shots, so to speak.

We have a simple system for styling. The first letter is the first letter of the suppliers name (i.e. D for Diamond, P for Platinum etc). The second letter is the type of roof so A for Apex and p for Pent. The final letter is the actual model.

Model DPA (D = 1st letter of supplier’s name)

Model DPA is a pent shed which has the door on the short pent end and the windows on the left hand side as you go in the shed. This left hand side is the HIGH side the shed. The number of windows varies according to the size of the building

Model DPB (D = 1st letter of supplier’s name)

Model PPB is a pent building where the door and windows are both on the same HIGH side of the shed. The door is set to the RIGHT and the window to the LEFT. There are no door or windows on the pent end. The size of the shed will determine how many windows there will be.

Model DPC (D = 1st letter of supplier’s name)

The Model PPC have both the door and windows on the HIGH side of the building. The windows are set to the RIGHT with the door alongside to the LEFT. The pent end of the shed is all timber. The number of shed window varies according to the size of the building.

Model DPD (D = 1st letter of supplier’s name)

Shed Model PPD is a pent style building. This has the door on the PENT end of the building. The window is on the RIGHT hand HIGH side of the shed as you go in the door. The amount of shed window varies according to the size of the unit.

This shed model has the door on the short PENT end of the building and the window on the LEFT LOW side of the unit. The number of windows varies depending on the size of the shed.

Model DPF (D = 1st letter of supplier’s name)

This Model PPF also have the windows on the LOW side as you go in the garden shed. As you go in the door, which goes on the short PENT end, the windows will be on the RIGHT hand LOW side of there building.

This PAI garden shed has an APEX roof and with the door on the APEX end of the building. As you go in the door the windows will be on the LEFT hand side of the unit. The number of windows varies with the size of the shed.

Model DAJ (D = 1st letter of supplier’s name)

This PAJ APEX roofed garden shed has the door on the APEX end of the building. As you go in the shed door the windows will be on the RIGHT hand side of the unit. The number of shed windows varies with the size of the building.

Model DAG (D = 1st letter of supplier’s name)

This PAG garden shed has the door and windows on the LOW side of the building with the door set to the RIGHT and the windows to the LEFT, also on the LOW side, as you look at it from outside. Nothing on the APEX ends. Bear in mind that as the door and windows are on the LOW side then the door may be lower than standard.

Model DAH (D = 1st letter of supplier’s name)

This *AH APEX roofed garden shed has the door and the windows both on the LOW side of the building. The door is set to the LEFT and the windows to the RIGHT. This is looking at the shed from outside of the building. The number of window varies according to the size of the shed. Don’t forget that as the door and windows are on the LOW side then the door may be lower than standard.
