✅ Spray impregnated doors & windows:
Spray-impregnation is a treatment to protect windows and doors against the fungi and rotting process. This treatment will take care that all parts are protected, that can’t be reached after installation. You can choose between a colourless spray-impregnation or one of Lugarde’s four translucent colours. For optimal protection we advise you to stain the windows and doors within one year. Attention If you choose the paint treatment for your windows and doors it is not necessary to choose the spray-impregnation. During staining a pre-treatment is included. Because Lugarde check EVERY order, this will be checked accurately in advance.
✅ Painted doors & windows:
Would you like to paint as less as possible? Then choose a factory-treatment for your window and doors. Because you want to enjoy your log cabin as long as possible, we will protect your windows and doors against weather influences. This is done by treating them twice with a spray-treatment as a pre-treatment and then by painting in the colour of your choice. With these three layers the windows and doors are protected against the ‘great outdoors’. They will use the Dutch quality brand Sigma paint. Attention If you choose the paint treatment for your windows and doors it is not necessary to choose the spray-impregnation. During staining a pre-treatment of spray-impregnation is included. Because Lugarde check EVERY order, this will be checked accurately in advance.
✅ Spray treatment of entire building:
Spray Treated Walls.
The entire building is treated including the parts that can’t be reached after assembly.
Your log cabin will be protected against the fungi and rotting process from day one.
You can choose from four translucent colours.
You will still need to treat the outside of your cabin within one year to protect it against any weather influences.
Making Money From Your Shed or Summerhouse
If you clear your shed or summerhouse it’s quite possible that some of your tat could be converted into money by selling on Ebay. If you don’t think anyone would want those items or you don’t want the hassle then put them on http://uk.freecycle.org/ where more or less anything will be snapped up. A great way to save on landfill and the recipient would be very grateful.
Think about adding shelves at the back of the summer building or shed and when you have done this you can start to return some items to your garden building. Your garden tools can be hung on purpose made pegs or nails and this will help to keep them tidy. This can apply to any amount of tools which helps to keep the shed in order. A range of plastic boxes, ideally with lids, are ideal for keeping screws, nails etc in order. By labeling them it will be a lot easier to find what you are looking for.
Compost and seeds also can be stored in plastic containers. This will help to keep it dry for when you need it. A lockable store cupboard within the summerhouse or shed is a good idea for those garden chemicals and other nasties. This will ensure that any children will be safe if they get into it, however, you should keep it locked where ever children are about or ensure they are well supervised.
Bikes, lawn mowers and garden tools used regularly should be towards the door for ease of access. If you put then at the back it will always be a struggle to gain access to them and may cause some choice words to be uttered. By thinking ahead you can reduce any stress and ensure the shed is a relaxing place like your summer house is normally.
After the summer is over there will be other items to go in there such as the barbecue and garden furniture. Try to think about where this will go so you can still access the required garden tools through out the winter. With a little bit of thought and planning your garden building will enhance your home living even more than ever. You know it makes sense so put this job on your ‘to do’ list now.
