Platinum Southampton Pent Buildings
A Platinum Southampton Sectional Building is so much more than any other timber building. The sturdy frame and maintenance free Onduline roof covering provide a long-lasting home for all your gardening tools whilst the toughened glass opening windows ensure a comfortable place to work.
Often used as a craft or hobby room it would be equally at home used as a garden games room for more leisurely activities.
Choose from three different pressure treated cladding finishes and a large variety of sizes and specifications to suit your space and budget requirements.
Each building comes with a set of wide double doors for easy access and ample windows. The number of window sets will vary depending on the size of the building but these, like the doors, are positioned to suit: a fully bespoke building at an ‘off the peg’ price.
These buildings need to be seen to see how good they are. Beauty is in the ‘eye of the beholder’ and this is certainly true with wooden buildings. However, there’s no substitute for viewing these buildings ‘in the flesh’ so you can see the attention to detail given to these buildings.
Free Assembly
Besides the great quality of these buildings, free installation is included as standard. Which all adds up to the overall value of them. And it’s always worth checking out customer’s feedback to see what they say.
Don’t Buy On Price Alone
When choosing a new workshop for your garden you need to check out thoroughly the specifications of it. Examine the very high specifications below to ensure any prospective purchase meets the very high standards of the Platinum Southampton apex.
By doing so you will see that these buildings are unbeatable for quality. They are more expensive than a ‘run of the mill’ building but no corners are cut when making it. NEVER made ‘down to a price’. You MAY save some money but will you get what you really want?
Examine The Quality
It’s great advice to view beforehand and by doing so you can be sure of the quality. You can be the judge and decide whether the higher price is worth paying. Can that building you are looking at on the ‘web’ be viewed beforehand? And if not – WHY not?

Can I Inspect A Garden Workshop Before Purchasing?
Building a workshop in your garden can be a feasible and practical project. Consider the available space, local regulations, and desired workshop size and layout. Start by obtaining any necessary permits and preparing the site. Choose durable materials and a design that suits your needs. Install proper insulation, ventilation, and lighting for a functional workspace. Plan the electrical layout and any plumbing requirements in advance. Investing in a well-built workshop can enhance your home's value and provide a dedicated space for various projects and activities.
What Is The Difference Between A Workshop And A Shed?
A workshop is a designated space designed for working on projects, typically equipped with tools and machinery for various tasks. On the other hand, a shed is primarily used for storage purposes, such as housing garden tools or outdoor equipment. Workshops are intended for active use, where projects are completed, whereas sheds serve as passive storage units. The key distinction lies in the functionality and purpose of each structure: workshops facilitate hands-on work, while sheds provide storage space.
What Is The Maximum Size Shed Without Planning Permission?
In the UK, the maximum size of a shed without planning permission is typically 2.5 metres with a dual-pitched roof or 4 metres in height with any other type of roof. The shed should not take up more than half of the land around the original property. Additionally, the shed should be placed behind the main building and not located forward of the front elevation. It is important to note that these regulations can vary depending on the location and specific guidelines the local council sets.
What is the Minimum Size for a Garden Workshop?
Our garden workshops start at a minimum of 8ft x 6ft, which still isn't particularly small. This size is ideal for anyone looking for a slightly smaller, more compact workspace or storage area.
We recommend this size if your garden is small or you have a limited budget. It still has enough space to be functional and won't overcrowd your outdoor area.

Why Is Viewing A Garden Workshop In Person Essential Before Purchasing?
With the internet, it's often difficult to see what your new garden building will be like. This is why it's essential to view your wood building before delivery. This way, you can see how well it's been made, whether there is sufficient head height, whether the doors and windows are solidly made and how good the timber is Whilst some internet-only companies may claim it's best to buy online, it is only sometimes possible to be sure what you are getting. If they are not prepared to let you see their buildings beforehand, then be wary. The cheapest price is only sometimes the best value.
